IT SECURITY POLICY TECHNICAL WRITER

Washington, D.C

 

Dogwood Management Partners is seeking an IT Security Policy Technical Writer for a permanent opening we have in Washington, D.C. This is a full-time position and we are seeking someone with 8+
years of technical writing experience and ability to write and/or edit Security Policy requirement documents, including functional descriptions, technical specifications, special reports, and other project
deliverables. Must also have at least an Active DOD Secret Security clearance. Due to the nature of the work with federal clients, no third party candidates or visa candidates can be considered. This is an immediate need offering an excellent salary plus benefits. However, the role can also be set up on a corp to corp basis.

REQUIREMENTS

 Must have an Active DOD Secret Clearance (no interims) – Top Secret preferred
 Government Security Audit experience involving DoD, RMF, GAO, FISCAM Preferred
 ISSO and / or Security Control Assessor experience preferred
 Risk Management Framework (RMF) experience
 Experience creating process documents
 Understanding of the various IT Security audit cycles
 Must have excellent organizational skills
 Academic Background is okay
 Must have outstanding communication skills
 
RESPONSIBILITIES

 Provide analysis support requesting, reviewing, and submitting Provided-by-Client (PBC) deliverables for accuracy with audit request
 Coordinate activities for audit walkthroughs and observations
 Provide weekly summaries on accomplishments and any noteworthy items
 Support the various audits (OIG, GAO, FISCAM, Financial statement audit) and audit activities
 Review and route Notice of Findings and Recommendations
 Other duties as assigned
